In Build South Dakota: The Game, a virtual pre-apprenticeship experience, the player explores the different phases of a highway construction project and uncovers the skills needed to be a Carpenter, Pile Driver, Concrete Finisher, Skilled Laborer, Heavy Equipment Operator, and Inspector. Through games, videos, and assessment tools, users will gain a deeper understanding of the highway construction industry. After exploring the vast world of Build South Dakota, players will be ready to explore several real life opportunities in highway construction. Play the game. Get to work.

Build South Dakota: The Game was funded by the Associated General Contractors of South Dakota to educate high school students on the benefits of choosing a career in construction. Its mission is to provide services of the highest quality and value to its members to preserve and improve skill, responsibility and integrity in the construction industry. AGC offers the most comprehensive educational training to South Dakota’s construction industry.

Build South Dakota: The Game is a Future Road Builders game, developed in Partnership with the Constructors Association of Western PA and PennDOT, with funding assistance from a FWHA Ladders of Opportunities grant.
